Tie Mentorship is a web application that connects startup founders with experienced TiE Bangalore mentors. Sign in, browse mentor profiles, and book 1:1 mentoring sessions — each confirmed session is added to your Google Calendar with a Google Meet link, and you can track notes, tasks, and progress across your whole mentorship journey.

The platform is run by TiE Bangalore, a chapter of TiE Global (The Indus Entrepreneurs) — the world's largest non-profit network fostering entrepreneurship, with 60+ chapters across 14+ countries.

What This App Does

Tie Mentorship is the mentee–mentor application for TiE Bangalore's mentoring programme. It is the tool mentees and mentors use to run their mentorship end to end.

How This App Uses Your Google Account

Tie Mentorship offers "Sign in with Google" and integrates with Google Calendar and Google Meet to schedule mentoring sessions. Here is exactly what we request and why.

  • Google Sign-In (name, email address, profile picture): used to create your account, sign you in securely, and show your profile to your mentor or mentee.
  • Google Calendar (calendar events): used to add confirmed mentoring sessions to your calendar and keep the event up to date if a session is rescheduled or cancelled.
  • Google Meet: used to create the video-meeting link that participants use to join their online mentoring session.

We use this data only to provide the features above. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Tie Mentorship is TiE Bangalore's mentoring application. It connects startup founders (mentees) with experienced TiE mentors: mentees browse mentor profiles and book 1:1 sessions, mentors manage availability and requests, and everyone tracks notes, tasks, and progress in one place.

Signing in with Google lets us create your account using your Google name, email address, and profile picture. If you use session scheduling, the app also uses Google Calendar to put confirmed mentoring sessions on your calendar and Google Meet to create the meeting link. This data is used only to provide those features — see our Privacy Policy for details.

TiE Global (originally The Indus Entrepreneurs) is the world's largest non-profit volunteer network dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship. Founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley, it has grown into a global powerhouse spanning over 60 chapters across 14+ countries.
